Former NYC Parking Commissioner Larry Berman Appointed As Special Advisor To MobileNow!

June 10, 2008 MobileNOW! President Krista Altok Tassa today announced that former New York City Parking Commissioner Lawrence Berman has been appointed special advisor to MobileNOW!, a distributor of one of the most advanced digital permit applications in the world, primarily used for cell phone, permit and RFID parking, as well as other mobile payment options.  “We are excited to have someone with Larry’s extensive experience to help guide MobileNOW! as it expands its operations in the U.S.”

Mr. Berman will assist MobileNOW! in developing its marketing strategy and facilitating strategic partnerships and sales channels.  Recently, Mr. Berman has served as principal of Metered Concepts, a consulting firm dealing in on-and-off street parking applications.

One million ParkNOW! mobile parkings in Belgium

March 27, 2008  The ParkNOW! mobile parking system passes an important milestone in the Belgian market. Since the launch of the service just barely a year and a half ago on September 1, 2006, already 1,000,000 mobile parking sessions have been handled by the system, meaning that the success of the service has exceeded all expectations and that it is becoming one of the largest national mobile parking services in use anywhere in the world.

MobileNOW! launches U.S. demonstration pilot

March 24, 2008  MobileNOW! has launched a demonstration pilot of its new Interactive Voice Response cell phone parking system in the U.S. The ParkNOW! application has long operated with text messaging to support cell phone parking which is common in Europe. This latest feature will allow U.S. motorists to easily use ParkNOW! with a technology they are familiar with. The system will be launched commercially soon after collecting sufficient experiences from the pilot.

March 18, 2008  A mobile parking pilot of ParkNOW! has been initiated in the borough of Reading in co-operation with the Reading Borough Council. Reading is a city of 230,000 inhabitants and home of European offices of numerous global IT companies.

Ukraine becomes the first CIS country to have mobile parking

March 15, 2008  Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, launches ParkNOW! mobile parking as the first city in the CIS. Kiev has almost 4 million inhabitants and is thus among the largest municipalities anywhere in the world to offer its inhabitants and visitors the possibility to pay for parking with a mobile phone.
